The Calorie Shifting Diet Plan

March 31, 2008

All of us want to lose weight but wouldn’t it be nice if that could be done without having to endure a diet that makes you have to limit your food to just salads and soups forever and to constantly have to feel hungry all the time? Now that would be a diet we could stick with. And if you were to believe the hundreds of TV advertisements for exotic pills and programs to help us reduce weight, they have the mystery solution to our dieting woes. But sadly, they don’t.

Most of us are smart enough not to buy into some unrealistic diet plan like that, although it’s ok if we have tried a few just to prove they don’t work. What we find out is that there are a lot of problems that come with those expensive diet pills. They seem to be of two types. They either make your metabolism run like a freight train so you sweat and quiver which causes fat to fall off or they do weird things to your digestive track so (in theory) fats are pushed on through causing your insides to feel like you have the flu. Both of these solutions make you feel slightly ill and on edge which would be fine except they also don’t usually do anything more than cause slight weight loss that comes right back.

But we can get away from the hype with no results programs by looking to a natural diet plan that actually works called the “calorie shifting diet”. This plan doesn’t disrupt your system by making you sweat fat off or purge food artificially out of your body after have eaten it. But what it does do is to use a natural approach to balance and harmony in not only what calories you can eat but in when you eat them to use the metabolism the way it was designed to work to keep you thin and healthy.

You don’t reduce calories or give up anything with this diet. Instead you alter the timing of your food and the type of calories you eat at each small meal so you get all you want to eat, don’t have to give up your favorite foods and never have to go through that feeling of being hungry all the time that is so common with most diets.

Diets that make you go without good foods don’t work because they remove part of your diet that your body comes to crave and you spend all your time wishing you could eat like you used to. So the diet can only be a success as long as you stay motivated enough to resist the temptations and discomforts but once you get discouraged or lose the discipline, the diet is over and the weight you might have lost comes right back. Don’t think the problem is in your will power. The real problem is those diets are not designed for you to lose weight in natural cooperation with how your body works.

The major diet plans that everybody seems to like are almost recipes for failure eventually which is probably what keeps them in business. Atkins is such a strict plan that it’s really hard for people to stick with it week after week. And that results in guilt when you want to succeed at Atkins but you find yourself secretly sneaking foods that are not allowed. The same is true of diets that emphasize low fat intake because we want those things and that leads to yearnings. As soon as the diet fails to live up to expectations, it’s tempting to run back to our comfort foods. Low calorie diets like Weight Watchers creates a whole new hobby for you to track and record your foods and the outcome is very slow weight loss and frequent plateaus which makes it easy to get discouraged as well.

By taking advantage of your metabolism’s talent for reducing your weight, the calorie shifting diet energizes this important internal regulator to burn off fat in a healthy and natural way which leads to weight loss that is reasonable and sustainable. To be truly effective and not just get you short term weight loss, any program must work in harmony with your metabolism so the unneeded fat burns off naturally. The calorie shifting program is scientifically designed to use this natural approach to diet by giving your body good foods it wants and still making you slim down without the use of drugs or by causing unnatural physical trauma to drive the weight away.

The beauty of this diet plan is you don’t cut calories at all. You simply organize your food intake in a systematic way so the calories are scattered across four meals a day which causes your body to naturally lose weight. The meal programs “shift” different food groups around different times of the day so one day you might have bacon and eggs for lunch and a steak for breakfast and the next day pancakes for dinner and fish for breakfast. But the important thing about this plan is that it works, its works naturally and it’s something you can stick with and lose weight over a period of time and keep it off. And that’s what it’s all about.
