With the gaining popularity of having a themed wedding, the amount of wedding theme ideas have also increased.
With so many wedding theme ideas around, how does a couple decide on a theme that is perfect for them?
Well, the easiest way to start choosing a wedding theme is to look at what you and your spouse have a passion for. Especially if it is a hobby or sport that both of you enjoy doing together.
If the passion or hobbies that you and your spouse enjoy does not fit well as a wedding theme, you can look at other themes that you may personally like. Discuss it with your spouse if both of you can agree on that theme.
The decision process is much easier if one of the party is more involved in the planning while the other person lets the partner run the show. If this is so, there should not be any problem on the decision. However, if both parties wants to be active in the process, there should be some compromise between the couple.
Nonetheless, before you jump into a decision, it is important to take these into considerations:
1) Cost - Know what your budget is
2) Location
3) Size - How big do you want your wedding to be? How many guests?
4) Formal or informal
5) Time - Is the theme realistic for both of you? Do you have the time to plan for the theme?
6) Weather - Is it dependent on the weather?
Some wedding theme ideas that you can choose from:
1) Western wedding theme
2) Seasonal wedding theme - Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter
3) Garden
4) Black and White wedding theme
5) Fairytale
6) Butterfly wedding theme
7) Fall wedding theme
9) Seasonal wedding theme
9) Las Vegas
10 ) Las Vegas wedding theme
Have a contingency plan ready if your theme depends on weather conditions. Take for example the beach wedding theme.
You should stick to your chosen theme as much as possible with being distracted by other choices. If you change your mind halfway, you may derail from your schedule as well as incur more costs to the wedding.
You may get frustrated during the planning process. But don’t take heart because on your big day, when you see the happy faces on your families and friends, you know it is all worth it.
